It was a beautiful autumn day in October 1996. My friends Oliver and Stefan took a surfboard on Stefan's Benz, a really nice white car.

We took some clothes with us because we knew that we would get wet. Then we drove with the car through the wonderful countryside of Southern England to a little lake.

We put the surfboard into the water and jumped into water too. Stefan made photos, he didn't want to go swim.

So Oliver and I swam with the surfboard and paddled around on the surfboard. We didnt paddle as you paddle in a canoe, we stood on the surfboard and paddled. It is really difficult at first.

Some people who saw as where very surprised, but we enjoyed the trip. Wow, we were soaking wet after this trip!
