Soaked on the Promenade - 12 July 1998

It was a sunny and windy afternoon. Just the right day for our Wacky Brighton Group to go to the beach to watch the waves hit the seawall at high tide and spray over the promenade. They wore nice and warm fleece tops and bottoms under their ponchos and anoraks

The promenade was completly flooded from the repaeted waves pushing over the seawall. As you've probably guessed, they got completely soaked to the skin from the massive spray washing them down many times. It's like having an entire bathtub (or two) tipped out over you at once.

Then they ran back home, dripping all over the village, and had a shower to rinse the salt out of their clothes.
