WACKY WET SCOUTS
Posted by BJ on September 14, 1998 at 05:23:53:I am proud of the scouting foundation and all that it stands for. It also is a good way to get out in the countryside and learn about nature and camping. Just so happens you can get wet as well...
I am a Eagle scout myself, and have worked hard through many years with community service projects and instuctional teaching. I know many a story here in the NW where we got wet. I also have some old summer camp photos with some half wet jeans on those really rainy days.
I look forward to contributions on the page. Really! Scouts honor!
Posted by Rob on September 10, 1998 at 20:25:11:I am a former scout and can tell you Scouts can be a very wet organisation. Activities like rafting, canoeing and straight forwaard mucking about in rivers played a big part in my troop. I'm sure that Sea Scout Groups get alot wetter. On summer camps there was always a river and people alwase went in, with their clothes on. So I think if there are wet scouts around then a page for them and anyone interested would be a brilliant idea.
Posted by Marc on August 03, 1998 at 20:25:25:I discovered it in my scouts troop. One day at the summercamp we had a free time at the riverbeach, end because it was very hot that day, my friends (we were 13) proposed to swim in the river. We had no swimtrunks, so one boy dared to jump in full uniform into the river. That was the signal for all of us and we all jumped into the water without removing any part of our smart uniforms. I remember this very well, because this was also the first time I discovered some new feelings in my crotch...

For me, the fun began in Boy Scouts. It was an uncommonly warm winter day when we were on a camp out near a beach. Others were wading and even swimming, but I had not brought any shorts or swim wear. The leader and some of my friends challenged me to "come on in." noting that jeans would dry a lot faster than lost opportunity would come again... not those terms of course, but to make a long story short, I kicked off my shoes and took off my shirt and went in.
Later, loving the wet jeans and the attention of my friends, I wondered what the shirt might feel like. The next day, I did not take the shirt off. I've been hooked ever since. I cannot say that I really go out of the way to plan wet activity, but a boy who loves water like I do has plenty of chances to take a dive here in So. TX.
Brian.
